New Affordable and Supportive Housing Coming to Guelph
The Governments of Canada and Ontario have announced additional funding to support affordable and supportive housing initiatives in Guelph, including Stepping Stone’s 23 Gordon Street project. Through the Social Services Relief Fund, the investment will help support 24 emergency shelter beds and 12 transitional housing units designed to assist individuals experiencing homelessness on their path to stable, long-term housing.
The funding builds on previous investments in the project and recognizes the important role that emergency shelter, transitional housing, and wraparound supports play in addressing homelessness in our community. The announcement reflects ongoing collaboration between municipal, provincial, and federal partners to expand housing options and improve outcomes for vulnerable residents across Guelph-Wellington.
