Construction has started at 23 Gordon St!

Demo began Monday morning after the shelter closed at 8am and we said our goodbyes to the old space that used to be the cherished Welcome In Drop In Centre!

Our upstairs that once held the admin offices has been transformed into our temporary emergency shelter space, already increasing our capacity of beds from 27 to 35! Our Emergency shelter will remain open during construction as demolition has started on the first floor to put in foundations and underground mechanicals to support the building of the 3rd floor.

Stay tuned as the construction continues! We can’t wait to see this space transform and be purpose built for the evolving and changing needs of those who are experiencing homelessness in our community.
