Guelph Today published three articles discussing some important parts about Stepping Stone and what we do: Clearing up misconceptions, a look inside the Norfolk Manor, and more about our Family Shelter Programs.
Each article offers valuable insights into the efforts being made to support vulnerable community members. “Clearing up Misconceptions” aims to take a look inside our Emergency shelter located at 23 Gordon St. It includes information to clear up misconceptions about capacity, restrictions, and rules. Interviews were completed by the shelter supervisor, the Executive Director and those who are currently accessing the shelter space. “A Look Inside the Norfolk Manor” provides an in-depth view of the services and support offered within the facility, highlighting the dedication of staff and the resilience of residents. Lastly, “A Look Inside Guelphs Family Focused Shelters” sheds light on the crucial role this initiative plays in offering temporary refuge and stability to families in need. These articles underscore the importance of community involvement and understanding in creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone in Guelph. A look inside Norfolk Manor’s Housing Focused Shelter. A 24/7 program where we offer housing focused programming to all genders 25+ including dedicated spaces for pets and couples experiencing homelessness. Interviews completed by staff and those staying in the shelter including a highlight of someone staying there who was previously located at the St George encampment.
