Relocation of Housing Focused Shelter to 128 Norfolk!
July 2nd we have moved our Housing Focused Shelter from the Silvercreek hotel location to occupy the old Norfolk Manor. The lease on this property has been arranged by the County of Wellington for 18 months until Dec 2025 as this building was vacant.
This move is important! We will continue to focus on providing a shelter program that is targeted towards connecting all participants to permanent housing solutions and we needed a safer building to do so!!
Our support team – which includes Shelter Support and Housing Stability staff, are on-site 24/7 to support individuals to achieve their health and housing goals. All shelter guests participate in our Housing Café program which offers coaching and hands on support in looking for housing, attending viewings, connecting with landlords and building skills to secure and maintain long-term housing. We also have a Care Coordinator onsite 5 days a week who liaises with community health partners to ensure equitable access to healthcare for our participants as well.
